This month we're proudly featuring Summerland Winery & Boutique. We sat down with their Tasting Room manager to learn more about this adorable seaside winery & retail boutique.

1. Tell us a bit about your business and wines..
Summerland Winery is a boutique winery dedicated to the production of
fine wines from the Central Coast of California. Nebil “Bilo” Zarif
founded Summerland Winery in 2002 with the goal of producing premium
wines from expressive vineyard sources spanning from Santa Barbara to
Monterey. Since then, the winery has built a name synonymous with Pinot
Noir and Chardonnay. The
14+ different varietals from 9 renowned vineyards allow the Central
Coast and Single Vineyard Collections to showcase their excellent fruit
character combined with strong regional character.
2. What makes your tasting room unique/different?
The winery’s tasting room is located in Summerland’s charming seaside setting, just 10 minutes south of Santa Barbara. It is probably one of the few tasting rooms where you can walk to the beach after a tasting! We have a wonderful array of logo'd merchandise, hats, Grapeseed Company products (!), wine accessories, gourmet foods and local art to purchase in our boutique. Another quality that makes us unique is that we're easy to get to-- no long drives to the vineyards, we are easily accessible from the 101, and there's plenty of parking. We make enjoying Central Coast wines easy!

4. What is your personal favorite Grapeseed product?
The Surf Scrub. The scent is absolutely scrumptious!
5. How have you taken initiative to become a greener business?
At the Tasting Room, we pride ourselves in our efforts to recycle nearly everything! We only use recycled paper and packaging products and all of our cleaning supplies are safe for the environment. We supply our club members with re-usable wine totes so that we aren't using paper bags every time a wine purchase is made. We also try and carry merchandise that is from companies who also practice "green" initiatives.
If you're driving South from Santa Barbara, you'll pass right by Summerland; we highly recommend a visit to this adorable town and tasting room to try some of their amazing wines!
