While this one may look like a hearty recipe for breakfast, it actually is a nourishing facial treat! (No worries if you happen to get a little in your mouth while applying it.)

Oats & Honey Exfoliating Face Paste
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 T honey
1 T olive oil
2 T plain yogurt
*all ingredients are easy to find organic

Directions
~Grind the oats in a mill or clean coffee grinder.
~Add remaining ingredients and stir until you get a paste like consistency
~Apply warm wash cloth to face or steam for a few minutes.
~Gently rub in oats and honey exfoliating paste in upward, circular motions massaging the skin.
~Rinse thoroughly.
~Apply skin plumping chamomile grapefruit moisturizer or hydrating and replenishing rose & grape serum. If you have dry or sun damaged skin try applying the paste before bedtime and layer the serum under the moisturizer for an intensive hydrating treatment.
~Use entire mixture or share with a friend. If you have extra, don't forget to apply to your neck and chest area.

What it Does
oatmeal is a natural, soothing exfoliant known for it's calming and anti-inflammatory properties. It also has astringent qualities but is gentle enough for sensitive skin. It helps to draw oil and impurities out of the skin.

olive oil is moisture rich in vitamin e. It has many antioxidant properties known to fight free radical damage and slow signs of aging.

honey: this sweet treat helps attract dirt, oil and clean skin with breakouts. Bees release a glucose enzyme when creating honey that is a natural antiseptic and has antibacterial properties. When applied topically, it draws body fluids and nutrients to the area assisting in cell growth and scar prevention. Learn more here.

yogurt contains a naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid from lactic acid that exfoliates and renews the cellular surface of the skin
